These programmes are focused on the protection and formation of programme participants — offering shelter, education, and holistic development to children, young women, and families through Child Development Centers, hostels, day care centers, and homes for those in crisis.
There are 9 CDCs in different districts of the country, all registered under the Department of Probation and Childcare. Programme participants belong to the category of orphaned, abandoned, destitute, or abused children aged 5–18. One CDC caters only to boys aged 5–13, while the rest accommodate only females. All participants attend the nearest Government or Private School for their education, continuing until the Advanced Level, with assistance to reach University when necessary.

The programme participants are all girls between the ages of 5 and 18, attending the nearest schools and pursuing their education up to the Advanced Level. Of the six hostels, a few primarily cater to children whose parents live below the poverty line, particularly from the plantation sector, at no cost. In the remaining hostels, participants pay an admission fee and a monthly fee, with parents responsible for other educational expenses and school requisites.

We cater to two-and-a-half to four year olds, and to little ones after Nursery and Primary School. Children stay with us until 5.30pm and are provided free lunch, tea, and refreshments. Most are children of day labourers and single parents.

Provides temporary shelter for a period of 3–6 months. Programme participants, aged 14–18, are referred directly from courts and are often victims of sexual abuse, slavery, prostitution, gambling, or stealing. Each participant is given individualised programmes considering the emotional trauma experienced, and counselling is provided to every participant.
Provide short-term shelter and support for women affected by domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual harassment, legal issues, abandonment, and neglect — offering basic needs, psychosocial, legal, and counselling services while facilitating empowerment and reintegration into society with dignity. The centres also engage in networking and advocacy to promote policy and legal reforms.
Caters to programme participants aged 12–18, mostly referred by courts and the Probation and Childcare Department. Since participants are not exposed to external society, an informal educational system is followed within the Center, affiliated to the nearest Government School, with visiting staff assisting participants up to the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
Caters to single mothers above the age of 18, and in special circumstances to those under age, with the necessary approval of Courts and Police.
Cater to young women seeking employment in the Free Trade Zone, private and government institutions, as well as those pursuing higher studies.
Provide elders the opportunity to spend their last days happily in a homely environment. Two homes are registered under social services and cater to both males and females; the home at Nayakakanda cares for those who have worked with us for many years and have no place or guardian to go to in old age.
Pelletier House is a Residential home that welcomes girls and young women aged 12 to 25 who come from challenging family or social situations. The home provides a safe, caring and supportive environment where they can continue their education, employment or professional training while receiving guidance and accompaniment. Through community living and practical life-skills training such as cooking, cleaning and shared responsibilities, the girls are encouraged to grow in independence, confidence, dignity and hope for the future.
